Break-free
“Break-Free” reflects on the burdens we unknowingly carry—the shackles of fear, expectations, and self-doubt.It urges to explore the boundless life within us by being free & reclaim our lost mettle.
A fist clenched for years, so taut,
Believes frozen is its fate.
A bird caged through endless days,
Thinks the cage was made to stay.
And a man, subdued, his spirit suppressed,
Loses hope, and life feels depressed.
Forgotten dreams, a distant song,
Freedom feels strange, a memory long.
But time, they say, is a tender balm,
And in its whispers, he’d find his charm.
He longs to shatter every shackle,
To reclaim his strength, his lost mettle.
When he lets go and finally breaks free,
Embraces the freedom he longed to see,
He befriends himself, overcomes his fears,
No longer trapped in borrowed years.
This resolves all his strife,
He finds life within himself, and himself in life.
